This oak leaf was taken sustainably from English woodland during the autumn. Many of the leaves had already rotted away or were the wrong size and shape to make jewellery with. We could only find a few good examples that had already fallen and this was one of them.

I have given the oak leaf a copper coating by using electroplating methods. This coating is thick and strong whilst allowing the details of the leaf to come through.

I finished the leaf with an autumn coloured patina and lacquer.
